Smobi - Overview of the Salesforce mobile application
Smobi is a mobile application that is integrated to the Salesforce platform. It extends the available functions to allow users "on the go" access to their Salesforce CRM account from their mobile devices. The product consist out of the following components:
- The administrative web interface
- The mobile application
Smobi Registration: Clients are able to register for Smobi on the Smobi web site. From here the administrator will be able to manage additional user accounts and customise the user accounts according to desired functionality. Administrative Web interface: The administrative web interface allows the administrator to completely customise the mobile application for each Smobi user. Administrators are able to design custom schemas for specific user requirements. For instance you can have a sales schema or a support schema both with completely different menus and objects. These schemas are assigned to different users depending on the user's requirements. Within the schemas the administrator can customise the objects and object fields according to the user's requirements. All the objects and object fields that are available to the user on the core Salesforce.com solution is available to the user on the Smobi mobile application. Mobile application: Smobi allows full mobile access to the users Salesforce.com account. Smobi is installed via a simple URL download from the phone-browser. It is then stored in the phone's default application location. On logging in Smobi analyses the user's Salesforce.com accounts and provides the correct schema, objects and object fields in accordance with the Salesforce account. From here the user has full access to the objects and the ability to create or edit objects.
